Lismore Shopping Square looks set to reopen - but first it need to be repaired - and it will be a challenging task.

In a statement on the Lismore Shopping Square website, management thanked customers who have been checking in for updates on Lismore Shopping Square.

"Our thoughts are firstly with the community of Lismore and surrounding areas who have experienced and continue to experience an unimaginable ordeal.

We can confirm that Lismore Shopping Square is structurally sound and will be re-opening.

A full structural engineer’s report has been received and confirms that there are no structural impacts to the Centre.

The majority of the repair works are confined to the internal retail tenancies and shops, and we are working hard to rebuild these as quickly as possible.

McConaghy Properties is absolutely committed to re-opening Lismore Shopping Square once required repair works are completed.

Our construction team has been mobilised and are currently working on-site.

At this stage we do not have an official timeline regarding our reopening dates, however our team, alongside our retailers, are working tirelessly to ensure we can re-open Lismore Shopping Square as quickly and safely as possible to serve the Lismore community once again.
