The Lismore Shopping Square is two days away from a much anticipated reopening On Wednesday, July 6.

The hype and interest in the opening of Big W nearly three weeks ago was huge so this may go viral.

The list of guests and dignitaries is long with Gary McConaghy (CEO McConaghy group), Mayor Steve Krieg, member for Lismore Janelle Saffin, Member for Page Kevin Hogan and Minister for Emergency Services and Resilience and Minister for Flood Recovery Steph Cooke.

The Lismore Shopping Square has released the names of 11 specialty retailers plus Woolworths that will be open on Wednesday as Phase 1 of the reopening:

• Mathers
• EB Games
• Suzanne Grae
• Bay Audio
• Specsavers
• Priceline
• Prouds
• Makoda
• Rockwear
• Spendless Shoes
• Mister Minit

The remaining stores will reopen in the coming weeks, with dates announced through the Lismore Square website and social media channels.

A spokesperson said, "Alongside the commitment made by BIG W, Woolworths, Coles and Kmart, we are looking forward to welcoming back many more of the community’s favourite specialty retailers over the coming months."

The reopening of The Square will begin with a Welcome To Country by Uncle Gilbert at 8:10am followed by speeches and an official ribbon cutting at just before 9am.
