Lismore Lions Club is continuing to provide assistance to affected flood survivors. Even though the flood was almost a year ago, it is only now that many people are able to either return or plan to return to their homes and help is needed with purchases of household goods.
Lismore Lions have already spent over $ 250,000 helping people return to their homes. Statistically, they have provided goods for 227 homes that has helped 334 adults and 116 children.
Apart from our local fundraising activities, such as sausage sizzles and raffles the Club have received many donations from private and Lions support.
More support is now available with funds from Lions Australia disaster funds.
So if you or someone you know needs support to get back into their home then Lismore Lions Club may be able to help, especially with purchases of major household items such as electrical items, bedding and even special items for handicapped people.
Special purchase arrangements have been made with several local retailers, thereby also helping them recover from the flood.
Help is being made available through a well-known charity. If you want to apply for this assistance please call Lions members Brian on 0432814251, Margaret on 0428408304 or John on 0427788119 for more information.
