Richmond Tweed Regional Library (RTRL) users may not be able to access the library catalogue online tomorrow, Wednesday October 2, while the library is upgrading its online catalogue system.
The library is still open and library users can still go into the library and borrow or return books.
However, throughout the day, library users may not be able to access the library catalogue, their library account, book a computer or access eBooks, eAudiobooks, and eMagazines.
In short, anything that requires library patrons to use their library card to login won’t be available - as work is carried out on an upgrade to the system.
RTRL Regional Library Manager, Jo Carmody said “upgrades are necessary to keep the catalogue integrating seamlessly with our other library technologies, such as the library website, and the library app”.
“It is expected that there will be minimal disruption to service, and when we are back online you will notice a new, streamlined look and enhanced searching capabilities,” she said.
The library thanks patrons for their patience during this process.
