For most families, the Christmas/New Year holidays are over and it's back to work for the next six months before the next holiday rolls around.

What to do with the kids between now and when school starts on Thursday, February 1 can often be problematic.

Lismore Area Libraries offer an array of school holiday programs this year from fun new craft projects to playing with an awesome Lego collection to playing Mario Kart on Nintendo Switch and watching a movie on the big screen.

All of the activities are FREE, but spaces are limited, so book in to make sure you don't miss out.

Wednesday, January 10: Mario Kart on Nintendo Switch between 2pm and 4pm at the Goonellabah Library, 27 Oliver Avenue, Goonellabah.

Thursday, January 11: Boredom Bucket List between 2:30pm and 3:30pm at Lismore Children's Library, 44 Carrington Street, Lismore CBD.

Tuesday, January 16: Patty Pan Hot Air Balloon between 2:30pm and 3:30pm at Lismore Children's Library.

Wednesday, January 17: Movie Time - The Lorax between 2pm and 4pm at the Goonellabah Library.

Thursday, January 18: Boredom Bucket List between 11am and 12pm at the Nimbin Mobile Library, 71 Cullen Street, Nimbin.

Thursday, January 18: Beeswax Wraps between 10:30am and 11:30am at the Lismore Children's Library.

Friday, January 19: Lego Fun Session 1 between 2pm and 4pm at the Lismore Children's Library.
