Lismore Rugby's Women's Coach John Lisetto told his team pace and speed would be the key to winning today's clash with Ballina, and they listened.
The Lismore Women were impressive in their 31 to 27 win over Ballina at Lismore Rugby Park.
Adriana Lisetto out-sprinted her opponents to score after just 5 minutes, which was converted by Jada Williams.
The match was just Lisetto's third after returning from an injury sustained early in the 2020 season, and she impressed in both attack and defence with several big tackles.
Two minutes later Lily Patston crossed for a 5 pointer, before diving over for her second try in just 3 minutes, to take the home side to a 17-0 lead.
Patson's speed out wide proved to be the difference in both tries.

Ballina then settled and were able to produce two late tries in the first half to reduce the margin to 17-10.
The Seahorses started the second half the way they finished the first with a try after just 3 minutes to close the gap the just 17-15.
However the Lisetto's stamped their authority on the match with a second converted try to Adriana and then cousin and half back Sabrina finished off a bust by Adriana to score a converted try to take the score out to 31-15.
Again Ballina were able to finish the half strongly but the lead was too much with the Lismore side taking their 4th win of the season winning 31-27.
The Lismore side will have a week off before taking on the ladder leading Casino side at home on Saturday 19 June.
