Lismore City toughed out a close 19 - 13 win against the Casuarina Beach Barbarians this weekend in round 7 of the Coopers Far North Coast Rugby Union competition in Lismore.
The Barbarians made it tough for Lismore City in the field's heavy bog that had most of the players all smeared with mud.
Lots of strong runs yet the ball was slippery and hard to contain.
The Barbarians took the lead and kept it going into the second half with the half time score at 8 - 6.
Lismore City came out strong after the bell to get back into the game, bringing it home in a clincher on the final gong for 19 - 13 win.
Tries for Lismore City went to Tate Bailey, Gavin Tulk, and Billy Naborisi, with Perry Daly claiming 2 conversions.
Casuarina Beach's Brennan Petersen and Josh Harman crossed the line for tries while Kai George's boot was good for a penalty goal.
