A pilot was taken to hospital with minor injuries this afternoon following a light aircraft crash at the Lismore Regional Airport earlier today.
Around lunchtime, a bi-plane landing at the airport was impacted by a cross wind, pushing it off the runway. This caused the aircraft to sink in soft soil and flip.
Emergency services attended the scene and the pilot was immediately taken to hospital.
The aircraft has been removed from the site and the Lismore Regional Airport has now reopened.
