Letter To The Editor: Australian's of every profession need to pull together

When nurses, paramedics, teachers etc start picketing for more staff instead of wages then they might get more support.

EVERYONE has been through COVID , floods etc. Bus drivers, truck drivers, essential shop workers, farmers etc etc worked and work just as hard and were just as important at getting everyone through COVID shutdowns and disasters.

Right now, Australians of every profession, ancestry, etc need to pull together and work towards getting things back on track.

Everyone has to deal with the higher prices of everything and higher wages are not the answer.

This has to be a whole community approach and not an individual one.

More money to individuals isn't the answer.

Changing our desire for more stuff and living a more meaningful community-oriented life will bring this country back to a better version than pre COVID and disasters.

Personally, I admire and hold Everyone who's work was, and is essential, in the highest regard. That includes garbos, cleaners, carers etc as much as nurses, Drs, ambos etc.

And thank you to each and every one of you for keeping our amazing country alive and stable through all that has happened and will happen in the future.

Alison
