Joey's Mini World Cup gets underway

The Lismore Joey's Mini World Cup will kick off the week long carnival today (Monday).



The Carnival will see teams travel from across the region, as well as South East Queensland and Coffs Harbour.


Matches will be played at Hepburn Park in Goonellabah for the U/10 and U/12 age divisions and Weston Park, Goonellabah for the U/14's.


The U/16 and U/19 combined division will play their matches at Richmond Rovers home ground in East Lismore.


Twenty eight teams will be in action across the week-long tournament that will conclude with Finals being played at Oakes Oval on Saturday 1 October.



The first division to kick off will be the U/12's, with an Opening Ceremony at 12:00pm followed by matches at 12:30pm and 2:00pm at Hepburn Park.


The U/14's will have their Opening Ceremony at 1:00pm, with matches starting at 1:30pm and 2:30pm.


The combined U/16 and U/19 tournament have their Opening at 2:00pm and matches starting at 2:30pm and 3:30pm.


The U/10's tournament commences on Wednesday 28 September in a reduced format.
