I WISH all subscribers and viewers of The Lismore App, their families, and friends all the best for a safe and enjoyable festive season.
Residents of Lismore and surrounding villages look to The Lismore App for its comprehensive coverage of local events and issues.
I also wish Simon and Donna Mumford and their hard-working team a relaxing Christmas-New Year.
Taking stock of 2025, it’s been another busy year for our local community, still recovering from the floods of early 2022, having made some significant advances.
As NSW Minister for Recovery, Small Business and the North Coast, my focus is on making communities safer through disaster adaptation.
Faced with Cyclone Alfred earlier this year, we were much better prepared for its fury, which threatened us but thankfully dissipated.
I take this opportunity to thank our first responders from all agencies for answering the call when emergencies arise.
My sincere thanks as well to the many volunteers who make a difference to others’ lives by working in charitable organisations, community groups and sporting clubs.
We are richer because of you and your efforts, noting for most of you it is a family effort too.
I love Christmas and I wish you all a very Merry Christmas.
