It's Grand Final time in FNC Rugby Union

It's Grand Final time in Far North Coast Rugby Union and the teams are set, the sun is shining, and the Lismore Women's side are ready for the challenge.

All Grand Finals in FNC Rugby will be held at Crozier Field on Saturday, in what should be a huge day for the sport.

Lismore will be represented by the Women's 10's side who will take on the Ballina Seahorses in the decider at 2:35pm.

The Lismore City side won through to the big dance after defeating Minor Premiers Casino in the Major Semi Final 24-7, earning the week off before watching Ballina defeat the Bulls to set up the decider.

The last time the two teams met was in Round 12, when Lismore took a narrow win 22-17. Prior to that it was a narrow 29-26 win in Round 7, also to the Greens.

Lismore will look to their forwards to set a solid platform for the slick backline to weave their magic.

Unfortunately, the Colts side could not join them on Grand Final day, going down in a thrilling Preliminary Final last weekend to Mullumbimby.

In other Grand Final matches, First Grade will see Wollongbar Alstonville take on Ballina, in what should be a physical encounter.

The Pioneers have been a powerhouse in FNC Rugby Union in recent times and the Seahorses will be out to cause the upset.

Second Grade sees Wollongbar Alstonville take on Casuarina Beach, President's Cup is between Richmond Range and Mullumbimby and the Colts match will see Wollongbar Alstonville take on Mullumbimby starting at 10:00am.
