It is tight at the top of the LJ Hooker League competition, and the top two teams clash on Saturday in Lismore.
Goonellabah Workers Sports will host the Cudgen Hornets at Oakes Oval and it promises to be a cracking clash between the number 1 and 2.
Goonellabah sit atop the table, with Cudgen hot on their heels just 3 points behind.
The Hornets took down Pottsville last weekend in a massive 10 wicket win and are hitting form at the right time.
GWS on the other hand, suffered their first loss of the season, struggling with the rain-affected DLS result last week against Lennox Head.
Goonellabah have a strong all-round side, with the bowlers sharing the spoils each week and a solid batting lineup that can attack with ease.
Blake Perkins top scored last week with 40 and will look to continue the good form.
The 40-over-a-side match will start at 1:00pm at Oakes Oval.
Third-placed Marist Brothers are coming off a 6-wicket victory over Alstonville last week, in another match which was decided with the Duckworth-Lewis System due to rain delays.
Veteran Pat Martin (56) and young gun Cooper Williams (41no) steered the side to the victory.
Brothers will head to Pottsville on Saturday to take on the home side at Seabreeze Oval and will look to come away with the competition points.
Spinner Tom Parsons returned last week, picking up two valuable wickets and will again take on Pottsville.
Young bowler Sam Cottee has also been named as the third young fast bowler to debut this season for Brothers.
Play will begin at 1:00pm.
