Isaac Lee returns to the Marist Brothers RamsIsaac Lee was in the Newcastle Knights Jersey Flegg squad last season.

Marist Brothers Rams' rebuilding under new coach Danny Lee and assistant coach Mark Sivewright has continued with Lee's 20-year-old son Isaac Lee signing for the 2020 season.

Isaac Lee, another former Marist Brothers Juniors Rugby League player, was part of the NRL club Newcastle Knights' Jersey Flegg squad last season. The year before he played for the Gold Coast Titans' feeder club Tweed Heads Seagulls in the U20 Hastings Deerings Colts. In 2017, Isaac Lee moved from the Tweed Heads Seagulls MM Cup squad to the Tweed Heads Under 20s Colts Challenge side.

He plays left centre or in the second row and will be exciting to watch next season.

"Isaac is a very good player and an even better bloke," said Marist Brothers Rams Assistant Coach Mark Sivewright, who won five First Grade Premierships with Marist Brothers.

In the NRRRL First Grade competition, Isaac Lee made his debut for the Lismore Marist Brothers Rams against Cudgen on 5 June 2016 straight from the Under 18s. He played five First Grade matches before moving to the Tweed Heads Seagulls the following season. As a teenager, the St John's College Woodlawn student represented NSW Combined Catholic Colleges Northern Under 18’s in 2016 and played and was the captain of St John's College Woodlawn in numerous schoolboy competitions. In addition to starting at centre in the late 2015 Under 16 development squad game against Samoa, he also played in the Under 15 development squad game against the Balmain Tigers late in 2014, where he was named best back by Balmain Tigers coaching and development staff in their loss.

Isaac Lee is the fourth former Marist Brothers Junior Rugby League player to sign for the club in 2020.

Twenty-year-old twins Aidan and Lachlan Kennedy and 27-year-old Mitchell Krause have all signed on.

Lachlan Kennedy told the Lismore App that the reason he resigned for the club from Byron Bay was because of the type of players being signed.

"What drew me back to Brothers was a heap of young blokes that I went to school with are coming back." Lachlan Kennedy said.

"I think the combinations that will be forged with old school friends will create a more successful Marist Brothers in 2020."

Sivewright said the club would be signing more new players.

"We’ve got some really exciting signings to announce very soon," said Sivewright.

"All our signings are Marist Brothers' Juniors that are coming back to the club. All very young and enthusiastic and it will be a squad that we would like to stick together for the next 10 years.

"We’re really focusing on a good work ethic, positivity and discipline."
