Investigation commenced into stabbing of Casino woman

Police have commenced an investigation into the stabbing of a Casino woman yesterday.


About 2.50am yesterday (Saturday, 24 November 2024), police were called to a home on Boronia Crescent, Casino, following reports of a stabbing.



Officers attached to Richmond Police District arrived and were told a group of unknown teenage boys had been making threats to residents in a home.


During the incident, two women have exited the home to confront the boys; however, after leaving the home, one of the women, aged 33, was stabbed in the hand by one of the teens.



The teens then left the scene before police arrived.


The woman was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Lismore Base Hospital in a stable condition.



Police have established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the incident.


As investigations continue, police are urging anyone with CCTV, dashcam or mobile phone vision or information into the incident to contact Casino Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
