A man has died following a crash at Blue Knob, about 8km north of Nimbin.

About 7pm yesterday (Thursday, 18 December 2025), emergency services were called to Blue Knob Road following reports of a crash.

At the scene, officers located a vehicle that had collided with a tree before catching fire.

Firefighters extinguished the blaze, and the body of a man was located within the vehicle.

While yet to be formally identified, the body is believed to be that of a 27-year-old man.

A crime scene was established, and inquiries into the incident are ongoing.
