We've seen the last of the sun as the rain returns

It had to happen eventually but we didn't expect it to end with a bang as the rain arrives throughout today and stays with us for the next six days.

The Bureau of Meteorology is forecasting 45mm to 75mm over the next three days, so it is definitely going to be a wet weekend.

Today will see rain developing from a trough coming from the west/southwest.

The rain will intensify on Saturday and bring cold temperatures to the region with a top of only 14 degrees, a real heater day.

The rain should start to ease on Sunday with 10-25mm, Monday 3 to 15mm but it is forecast to kick back in on Tuesday 15-35mm before easing again for Wednesday 1 to 20mm for a clear Thursday.

Stay close to your sporting teams for field closures as any rain will see water levels rise very easily making some grounds unplayable depending on the rainfall.

There are currently no warnings for the North Coast from the BOM. The Lismore App will keep watch in case the weather changes for the worse.

You can watch the BOM weather radar through the Lismore App Weather Radar and the latest weather information Weather.
