The Bureau of Meteorology has said Wilsons River is likely to peak below the Lismore levee wall of 10.6 metres this evening.
The big question surrounds how much more rain we will get in the next 24 hours before the system starts to clear.
If the rainfall continues to intensify this afternoon, major flooding may occur Tuesday evening, with levels likely to peak below the Lismore Levee Height (10.60 m), currently, the river level is 7.01 metres.
A Severe Weather Warning is current for the Northern Rivers.
Major flooding may occur along the Wilsons River at Lismore.
The Wilsons River at Lismore is likely to exceed the moderate flood level (7.20 m) around 3:00 pm Tuesday. If the rainfall intensifies river levels may peak near the major flood level (9.70 m) around 07:00 pm Tuesday, below the Lismore Levee Height (10.60 m).
