Two COVID cases in Kyogle today plus 22 venues of concern, including Lismore

The list of new COVID-19 cases continues to grow in the Northern Rivers after two additional cases have been confirmed in the Kyogle area today.

These two people are close contacts of the two previously announced Kyogle cases, and the source of infection is still under investigation. These two cases will be included in tomorrow’s NSW Health numbers.

This brings the total number of cases reported among residents of Northern NSW Local Health District this week to five, including one case in Byron Bay.

Northern NSW Local Health District has been notified of a number of new venues of concern associated with confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the region, including 3 in Lismore and 2 in South Lismore with Bunnings on Saturday morning on the list.

Anyone who attended the following venues at the times listed is considered a casual contact and must get tested and isolate until they get a negative result.

If you are directed to get tested for COVID-19 or self-isolate at any time, you must follow the rules given to you by Health staff, whether or not the venue or exposure setting is listed on the NSW Health website.

Please continue to check this page regularly, as the list of venues of concern and relevant health advice are being updated as new cases emerge and investigations continue.

There are more than 500 COVID-19 testing locations across NSW. Find a clinic at COVID-19 testing clinics or contact your GP.

NNSW LHD encourage the community to get vaccinated against COVID-19 as soon as they are able to. Find available bookings at the Commonwealth Government’s COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic Finder or you can also call Health Direct on 1800 57 11 55 for assistance to book.
