Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has broken the news this morning that there has been a confirmed case of the highly infections UK coronavirus strain in Brisbane and Greater Brisbane will now be entering a three day lockdown.
While we are so far Covid-free in our Northern Rivers bubble, Brisbane is fairly close to home - so if you have plans to head up to Queensland or have relatives visiting, you might need to amend them.
From 6pm tonight until 6pm Monday, residents in the local government areas of Brisbane, Ipswich, Moreton Bay, Logan and Redlands must wear masks everywhere except at home and can only leave home for one of these reasons:
Further restrictions include:

π All businesses that can remain open must adhere to one person per 4 square metres with maximum of 20 to 50 with COVID Safe or Industry Plan
π Restaurants and cafes to provide takeaway service only
π Cinemas, entertainment and recreation venues, gyms etc to close
π Places of worship to close
π Weddings involve a maximum of 10 people, including the celebrant and witnesses
π Funerals involve a maximum of 20 people
π Mandatory mask wearing anywhere outside of your home
π No visitors to aged care facilities, hospitals, disability accommodation services or correctional facilities.
