Lismore Cup 'Sold Out', no walk-ins allowed in 2020

It is offical, the 2020 Lismore Cup is SOLD OUT.

The last VIP tickets went early yesterday morning, making this years cup a capacity crowd of about 1200 people under the square metre state government regulations.

Due to the strict regulations Lismore Turf Club Secretary Manager Scott Jones said they will not be accepting any walk-ins in 2020.

"I know a lot of people have a habit of rocking up at the gate on the day on Cup day but this year is different," Scott said, "it is unfortunate but they are the rules this year. No ticket, no entry."

If you or anyone you know was going to try entry at the gate, don't be disappointed if you get turned around and asked to leave.

The weather is a picture perfect spring day of 25 degrees with not a cloud in the sky. While everyone talks about the typical Lismore Cup afternoon storm that is the norm for most years, that is not expected this year. We'll see.

As you can see by the photos everything is in place for one of the biggest social events of the year.

A reminder for those that are attending the 2020 Lismore Cup, you are required to purchase your drinks then return to your table to drink it. There are posters around the venue to remind you plus 10 COVID Marshals and 10 Security staff to enforce this years restrictions are adhered to.
