South Lismore Celtic FC have won Football Far North Coast's Premier League Minor Premiership, going unbeaten in 10 matches.

It is the first time South Lismore Celtic have won the Minor Premiership since 1993 and is another feather in the cap of coach Cameron Hyde.

Souths also ensured Goonellabah FC missed out on the finals with a 2-0 victory thanks to goals to captain Paddy Kable and teenage striker Ezra Frost.

Souths under Hyde, who won the Grand Final (Cyril Mayo Cup) last season, have simply been too powerful, winning eight of their 10 matches on the football pitch. The match against Bangalow, which Souths won 2-0, was awarded to Bangalow 3-0 after Souths used an unregistered official.

Byron Bay finished runners-up after beating Richmond Rovers 3-0 and Alstonville finished third and Bangalow fourth to qualify for the finals series.

Alstonville climbed above Bangalow (on goals scored) and Goonellabah with a remarkable 7-3 victory at Maclean on Saturday.

If Goonellabah had beaten Souths, Michael Primiano's side, which contests the ANZAC Day Cup final against Alstonville on Wednesday, would have finished third as the Bluedogs were beaten 3-1 at home to Lismore Thistles on Friday night.

Football Far North Coast Premier League finals series will see South Lismore entertain Bangalow, while Byron Bay will host Alstonville next weekend.

Premier League final points score: South Lismore Celtic 23, Byron Bay 22, Alstonville 16, Bangalow 16, Goonellabah 14, Lismore Thistles 12, Maclean 9, Richmond Rovers 4.
