The brilliant winter sunshine in the last week is about to come to an end tomorrow with more than 30 millimetres forecast over the next five days, the wettest of which will be the weekend.

The Bureau of Meteorology said is an onshore flow will bring a little rain tomorrow then increasing on Thursday and Friday with between 3-8mm's expected.

That onshore flow will combine with an upper level weather system on Saturday to produce more than 10mm's with the same expected for Sunday.

We will return to those idyllic winter days on Monday once again.

Sport has only just returned following the COVID pandemic with rugby league already postponed from last weekend and soccer due to resume. Hopefully the forecast rain will not affect our local sporting fields.
