Rain deluge cancels all sportThe puddles dominate the fairways and greens at Lismore Workers Golf Club.

All cricket in the Far North Coast Cricket Council's Two Day L J Hooker League and the Northern Rivers Cricket League has been cancelled due to the deluge of rain that is and will fall on Lismore and the surrounding towns and villages in the next 24 hours.


This includes tonight's match between Evans Head and Casino RTM Redbacks at Oakes Oval in the first game of the Northern Rivers Cricket League T20 Club Challenge. The event features eight clubs: Marist Brothers, Lismore Works, Northern Districts, Eastern Districts, Evans Head, Kyogle Turkeys, Casino RSM Redbacks and Cecil Magpies.


Lismore Workers Golf Club today announced that the rain that forced the cancellation of the annual Oatens Monthly Medal and 2019 Medal of Medals event. A decision will be made later if a single stableford can be played.


Far North Coast Softball has had to cancel the resumption of its season with all matches tonight and tomorrow off.
