UPDATE AT 5.30PM: Richmond Police District have told the Lismore App the accident was a result of a medical episode, and no other injuries have been reported.

ORIGINAL STORY 5.00PM: There has been a motor vehicle accident outside Lismore Shopping Square, near the taxi rank on Brewster Street.

The Lismore App understands one lady in 50's has been taken to hospital, we are unsure of her condition.

Ambulance, Police, Police Rescue and tow trucks were all in attendance. 

The accident caused the closure of Brewster Street in both directions just outside the entrance of the shopping centre, but both lanes have now reopened under police direction.
