Details have been released of a two car accident on the Bruxner Highway at Irvington, about 24 km from Lismore, that closed parts of the highway for over 12 hours.
Police said that at about 11pm yesterday (Tuesday, 11 November 2025), emergency services were called to the Bruxner Highway at Irvington following reports of a crash.
At the scene, police were told two vehicles collided head-on before crashing into a paddock.
The drivers – men aged 22 and 35 – were treated at the scene before being taken to Lismore Base Hospital each in a stable condition.
A crime scene was established and inquiries into the circumstances surround the crash commenced by officers attached to the Crash Investigation Unit, assisted by Richmond Police District.

The Bruxner Highway at Irvington has now been reopened.
