HART Services (Home Assistance and Regional Transport Services) is proudly returning to the heart of Lismore today (September 28) with the official opening of their new Head office and Drivers lounge.
HART Services has been operating out of Wollongbar for the last 10 years but CEO Isaac Smith wanted a more centralised location for their drivers and volunteers.
The move to the Lismore CBD was to happen earlier in the year, however, the events of February 28 delayed those plans until now.
“That represents an enormous amount of goodwill and community participation, it is exciting to be able to connect in Lismore again,” Isaac said.
The new head office and drivers lounge is inside the old Trevan Ford building on Conway Street (next to the Lismore Workers Club). The facility will also be used by volunteers from three other community transport organisations as a central point to wait for clients in a relaxed setting.
“We are excited to have our fleet of buses and vehicles back in the heart of Lismore, along with 100 volunteers and staff now coming back into the CBD” Isaac added.

The official opening is being held at 5.30pm on the 28th of September when HART Services hosts the Lismore Business After Hours along with their volunteers who can inspect the facility and enjoy some light refreshments. MP Janelle Saffin and Lismore Mayor, Steve Krieg will be on hand to do the honours in declaring the drivers lounge and Head Office open.
Hart Services covers more than 8,000 square kilometres across the Northern Rivers serving thousands of clients. Assisting people who have no means of transport to medical and health-related appointments, shopping and social outings.
