Federal member for Page, Kevin Hogan, today congratulated Gurmesh Singh on being elected as the new Leader of The Nationals in New South Wales, alongside his new Deputy Leader, Kevin Anderson.
“Gurmesh is both a friend and a colleague. As one of the first Sikhs elected to Parliament, as part of The Nationals family, I am proud of his achievements.”
“Since his election as the Member for Coffs Harbour in 2019, Gurmesh and I have worked closely together to stand up for the North Coast of NSW.
“We have been through some very tough times with our communities, but we have also seen the very best of their resilience and spirit,”
“Gurmesh is a strong voice for regional New South Wales and a tireless advocate for his community. His election as leader is well deserved recognition of his hard work, integrity and commitment.”
“I look forward to continuing to work closely with Gurmesh as we stand up for regional communities, support jobs and small businesses, and secure the services and infrastructure our regions deserve.”
“My best wishes and thanks also to Mr Dugald Saunders as the outgoing NSW Nationals Leader – he has served New South Wales with dedication, and I thank him for his continued commitment to the Nationals’ values and our communities.”
