Local not-for-profit organisations can apply for one of the up to $5000 community grants up for grabs from Summerland Credit Union.

Applications close on April 30 and are open to a wide range of organisations throughout the community, including charities, schools, sporting organisations, social clubs, and community events.

Previous grant recipients include Goonellabah’s Care-Ring Children’s Centre to update the centre’s vegetable garden and the outdoor play area;

Eltham Public School P and C to create a butterfly garden;

Lismore Friendship Festival to put on the Piazza in the Park Festival;

RED Inc to provide a specialised bed and lifter designed for someone in a wheelchair;

and South Gundurimba Hall to improve the catering options for all hall users from the community.
