Goonellabah look to the top in LJ Hooker League

Goonellabah Workers Sports will be looking towards the top spot when they take on Pottsville in LJ Hooker League action on Saturday.

Goonellabah will host the Pottsville side at Oakes Oval, with a win possibly giving them the outright lead in the competition.

They are currently equal with Tweed Banora on 56 points; however, they sit in second spot on quotient.

Tweed will play the strong Cudgen side in Round 12, after a last start loss to Lennox allowing Goonellabah to draw equal on the ladder.

GWS welcomes back Reece Gregor and Kevin Warid into the side with Kale Hare and Ben Cooper unavailable.

Reece Gallagher has also impressed with his efforts in recent weeks and retains his place in the Goonellabah side.

Marist Brothers will travel to Bilambil to take on Terranora Lakes in their Round 12 clash.

Brothers will welcome back three key figures for the key clash, with Pat Martin, Cooper Williams and Jeremy Perkins all returning to the side.

The side is desperate for a victory after dropping to seventh on the ladder, 9 points behind fourth spot and a place in the finals.

With six rounds remaining after this weekend's matches, Marist Brothers will need to win a number of key matches if they are to make the semi-finals.

All LJ Hooker matches will commence at 1:00pm.
