Quite a few drivers are being caught out heading along Conway Street today with a road closure.

The Netflix TV series God's Favourite Idiot has been filming most of the day and will be until 7pm tonight, just past the Living School and Farmer Charlies.

This will be the final interruption in Lismore as the series is completing its on location filming tonight before heading to the studio to complete the TV series.

God's Favourite Idiot is a workplace comedy about a mid-level tech support employee Clark Thompson (Ben Falcone) who finds love with his co-worker Amily Luck (Melissa McCarthy) at exactly the same time he becomes the unwitting messenger of God.

It has been filming in various locations throughout Lismore and the Northern Rivers since March.

Series 2 filming has been cancelled so this is the last time we will see the Netflix crew on our streets.
