The NSW Government is now offering free summer holiday camps for young people from communities hit hardest by the impacts of drought, bushfire and COVID-19 border closures.
The NSW Office of Sport has 500 places for eligible children at one of its Sport and Recreation Centres – including one at Lake Ainsworth in Lennox Head - throughout the January school holiday period.
Applications to attend one of the three day holiday camps are open to children aged 13 to 15, in the Lismore Electorate.
Camp activities can include from archery, kayaking, bushwalks, cooking and craft. Meals, accommodation and activities are included, plus free transport to the camp.
