FNC Softball's Kaliyah Browning at Australian Regional ChampionshipsRous Hotel Rangers' Kaliyah Browning is part of the Softball NSW Country team at the Australian Under 14 Regional Softball Championships

Kaliyah Browning, part of the Rous Hotel Rangers' side in Far North Coast Softball, is continuing to improve her considerable skills with selection for Softball NSW Country at the Australian Regional Under 14 Girls Championships.


Softball NSW posted a photograph of 14-year-old Kaliyah after she and her team-mates and Softball NSW players arrived in Perth for the tournament at Mirrabooka which begins on Monday and finishes on 10 January.

Kaliyah Browning's NSW Country side will play the first match of the tournament against West Australia White and play again later on Monday against Queensland Flames. Softball NSW Country is in Pool A with South Australia Red and NSW Metro Orange.


Her teammates are Dianne Barrymore, Hayley Chivas, Rebecca Clark, Isabella Cooper, Renee Coubrough, Milla Durnell, Makaide Gale, Kate Luyten, Alex Maiden, Taya Richards, Brooke Thomas, Mikayla Tomlins and Paige Young.


Browning has been earmarked for representative honours after impressing at the Blacktown Junior International in March last year. She followed that with a three-day camp at 2019 STATIC also at Blacktown in Sydney's western suburbs.


Two teenage boys Oliver Shields and Wesley Wilford, who play Far North Coast Softball clubs Motley Crew and Rous Hotel respectively, will represent Softball NSW Country at the Australian Regional Under 14 Boys Championships, which are held at the Hawker International Softball Centre in Canberra from 12 to 18 January.
