Far North Coast Hockey is hosting another NSW State Championships at the Goonellabah turf pitches this weekend.

The Men's Masters State Championships are being contested in three age groups, with plenty of visitors to the region.

The Men's Over 59's Division 1 has 6 teams including a Far North Coast team, Division 2 comprises 7 teams, and the Over 69's Division will field 8 teams, again with a Far North Coast side entered.

The FNC Men's Over 69's side has a wealth of talent and experience, with names such as Clint Mallett, Trevor Dancer, Paul Leadbeater and Keith Ellis pulling on the Blue and Red FNC shirt.

The side had a solid start to the tournament, taking down Manning Valley 2-0.

The Over 59's went down to Sydney South in their opener 4-1.

Matches commenced on Friday and will play through Saturday and Sunday.

Saturday's play will commence at 8:00am and run through until 6:00pm, with Sunday's Finals set down for 10:30am, 11:20am and 12:30pm.
