Three Far North Coast Hockey athletes have had strong tournaments representing NSW at the U/13’s Hockey Australia Carnival.

Lillian, from the Ballina Hockey Club, was selected in the U13 Girl's NSW Stars team. This is Corby's second year being selected for NSW in the age group.

Corby was a part of the NSW Stars finished who finished 5th overall, from 12 teams from across the country.

Hugh Marshall from Northern Star Hockey Club and Miles Parkinson from Coraki Hockey Club were both selected in the U13 Boy's NSW Lions.

The U13 Boy's NSW Lions played 11 games in 7 days across the tournament, with the Lions finished the week with 5 wins, 4 draws and only 2 losses.

Parkinson padded up in goals and with Parkinson in goal, the score lines were kept very close.

Marshall across the tournament was awarded Player of the Match in matches against the WA Storms and the QLD Sabres and was voted NSW Lions Players Player for the tournament.

Following the Nationals, Corby, Marshall and Parkinson were invited to attended the launch of Hockey NSW Futures Academy.

All athletes from across NSW identified in the U/14, U/16 & U/18 NSW squads attended the 3 day Hockey NSW camp in Newcastle last week.
