First Norco and now Hutley Bros. Butchery as local supplier axed from our hospitals

First, it was Norco; now, the Labor Government has dumped South Lismore’s Hutley Bros. Butchery from supplying local hospitals.

Federal Member for Page Kevin Hogan has slammed Labor on yet another bad decision.

“Hutley’s has had a long-standing contract, supplying meat for health facilities across the whole health district,” Mr Hogan said.

“The majority of meat used for this contract was supplied from local wholesalers and processors. This cancellation has serious flow on affects for this business, our local meat workers, and beef farming families.”

“It is another shameful decision by a city-centric Government that clearly doesn’t care for our community.”

“Hutley’s have been a family-owned and operated business in our community for 144 years, and this decision will have a massive impact.”

“It is another kick in the guts to a business that just reinvested in our town, spending a lot of money to reopen after the floods.”

“We now have no local milk, no local meat… who’s next?”

“Labor doesn’t get or care about our regional communities.”
