Finals fever in Football FNC Competitions

Football Far North Coast Junior Grand Finals will be played at Oakes Oval this weekend, with plenty of action across the age groups.



The Under 16 Girls decider will see Dunoon United taking on Mullumbimby Brunswick Valley at 11:30am on Saturday, with the Dunoon United Under 15 Div.2 side playing Alstonville at 10:00am in their Grand Final.


Lismore Workers and Ballina will clash at 2:15pm in the Grade 13 Div. 2, with the day starting with the Grade 12 Div. 2 Grand Final between Kyogle and Richmond Rovers Rangers at 8:45am.


In the senior finals, Men's League 1 will see Lismore Thistles play host to Shores United after finishing second on the table.


Men's League 2 sees the rejuvenated Italo Stars host Pottsville at Mortimer Oval on the club's Old Boys Day, which was postponed from last weekend.



Men's League 5 has the Goonellabah Hornets heading north to Pottsville and Lismore Workers taking on Woodburn in Woodburn in their Semi-Finals.


In Men's League 6, East Lismore will be busy, with Rovers hosting Shores on Saturday at 1:00pm and Thistles hosting Suffolk Park at 12:30pm on Sunday in their first round of Finals.


There are a number of senior competitions that play their final rounds this weekend including Men's Premier League, who has one round to play, with the top four all but confirmed.


Alstonville currently lead, from Byron Bay, South Lismore and Bangalow.


An entertaining local derby will be played on Sunday with Richmond Rovers hosting Goonellabah at 2:30pm in East Lismore.



Women's Premier League will play out the final round, with the last match scheduled for Monday between Lennox Head and South Lismore.


It is a tight contest for the final position in the finals, with Lennox Head, Richmond Rovers and South Lismore all fighting for the final spot.
