FFNC Point Score is going down to the wire

The Football Far North Coast Men's Premier League Point Score will go down to the wire, with several teams fighting it out in the final rounds.

Heading into this weekends Round 17, the Goonellabah Hornets sit on top of the competition table, with 28 points, 1 point in front of South Lismore, who have a game in hand.

Richmond Rovers are in third, again, just 1 point behind South Lismore and have an extra match to play on Goonellabah.

Alstonville are in fourth place on 24 points with Bangalow closing in fifth position, but with 2 extra matches to play.

The Bluedogs play South Lismore on Sunday at home, kicking off at 2:30pm and then play Ballina midweek on Tuesday at 8pm in Ballina.

At this stage of the season, every match has a bearing on the final placings, with teams still playing mid week catch up matches due to the early season wet weather.

In Women's Premier League, Byron Bay sit on 30 points, 7 points ahead of Alstonville, who are just 1 point ahead of Lennox Head who sit in third.

Alstonville and Lennox Head have two extra matches to play to reduce the margin to Byron Bay.

Richmond Rovers are in fourth spot on 14 points.
