The countdown is on for the 11th Oceania Cup, an all-female football tournament proudly hosted by Alstonville & District Football Club.
After a winter washed out by heavy rain and wet grounds, anticipation is soaring for two action-packed days of competition, community, and celebration of women’s football this October Long Weekend (4–5 October) at Geoff Watt Oval, Alstonville.
In 2025, the tournament features an exciting new format:
● Open A: Six teams will play full 11-a-side matches in a round robin, with the top two advancing to the final.
● Open B: Twenty-four teams will compete in a 6-a-side format across four pools of six, with quarterfinals, semifinals, and a grand final.
While no junior competition is scheduled this year, girls turning 15 in 2025 are eligible to join senior teams in either Open A or Open B.
Registrations are now open! For full details and to secure your spot, visit the Alstonville Football Club website: https://www.alstonvillefc.com.au/oceaniacup.
All games will be played between 9am and 4pm, making the most of daylight hours.
Fans can enjoy a lively atmosphere with a full canteen, bar, tournament merchandise, and nearby food trucks hosted by local club Plateau Sports.
Teams will travel from across the Northern Rivers and beyond – including Yamba, Toowoomba, Casino, Ballina, Alstonville, Surfers Paradise, and more – bringing a showcase of talent and community spirit to the region.
The Oceania Cup is proudly supported by its sponsors: HCF, Northern NSW Football Association, Football Far North Coast, and Collins Hume Accountants.
