Far North Coast Hockey began its Grand Finals with the U11s, U13s and U15s taking to the Hepburn Park fields in Goonellabah yesterday.
Under 11s: A most entertaining match that went to drop off and Minor Premiers Ballina Hammerheads defeated Northern Star Magpies 3-2. For Ballina Percy Walker scored all three goals. Sam Cockley played well and Kyra Wilkinson made a great save in extra time. For Star Hugh Marshall scored both goals and Willow Davis and Josh Harris played well.

Under 13s: Star White were stripped of the title after their victory over Ballina Stingrays due to a technical error. Coco Zorzo, Elouise Roberts and Isaac Daniels had scored for Star White. For Stingrays Bailey Miller, Oliver Van Zwieten and Oliver Davis in goal put in a top effort.

Under 15s: The match was evenly contested between Northern Star and Coraki and looked like going to drop off with the score looked at 1-1. Billy Bradford opened the scoring with a goal for Coraki with a back stick shot and Harry Parmenter drilled the ball into the net for Star. Late in the game Star's Jack Furness scored with composure, tucking the ball past the Coraki keeper.
