Willie Fairweather, one of Lismore Rugby Club's most experienced players, is in doubt for the Round 2 match at Casuarina Beach Rugby Club in the Coopers Far North Coast Rugby Union First Grade competition.

Fairweather, who played at full-back in the First round defeat to Ballina, will be given every chance to prove his fitness in what is otherwise going to be an unchanged side.

"More and better combinations will develop if they play together more often. There are only seven matches this season and we know there is not one easy game," said Lismore Rugby Club coach Ray Taylor..

"I was saying to the players you get judged on the results but what we are loving is seeing 50 people running around at training.

" I am looking to see an improvement on last week and if I get that I will be happy."

Casuarina Beach Rugby Club defeated Grafton 45-15, with two tries to Number 8 Mitch Planten and full back Casey Calder, are appealing to their fans to support them in their first home match of the season. The side reached the Coopers Far North Coast Rugby Union First Grade Grand Final last season, losing to Wollongbar Alstonville, who are looking for seventh successive title.
