Enticing match ups in FNC Rugby Preliminary Finals

Several enticing match ups highlight the FNC Rugby Union Preliminary Finals on Saturday.

A Grand Final replay from 2023 will highlight the First Grade match up between Wollongbar Alstonville and Byron Shire.

The Pioneers took out the Minor Premiership, but were beaten by a solitary point in the Major Semi Final against Casuarina Beach, who moved through to the Grand Final, with the Pioneers left to fight it out with the Rebels to see who takes the other place in the big match.

Lismore will contest the Women's 10's and U/18's Preliminary Finals, with both teams taking on Casuarina.

Both teams have had tight matches all season with the northerners and Saturday looks to be no different.

The Women's side will look for their forward pack to pave the way for the backs to show their flare, with possession and territory critical in the Women's 10's game.

The Lismore Colts, will take on Casuarina with an experienced side that have played a number of grade matches throughout the season and will look forward to the challenge of making another Grand Final.

The Colts will kick off at 11:30am, the Women at 2:20pm and the First Grade will start at 3:15pm, with all matches being played at Quays Reserve, Ballina.
