The Easter weather for Lismore and the Northern Rivers has been given the thumbs up after a chat to Jiwon Park from the Bureau of Meteorology.
We have only had a few millimetres in the last two days and that trend is set to continue for the four day Easter break. Normally Easter brings a lot more rain so that's why we give the forecast the thumbs up.
As Jiwon said, "If you get wet you are unlucky."
The easterly to southeasterly on-shore airstream will continue as the slow-moving high-pressure system over the Tasman moves east.
Gone are the upper-level disturbances that has driven our recent rainfall paving the way for a more stable weather pattern that is more predictable.
Early next week will see a low in southern NSW that should bring northerly winds to to Lismore and the Northern Rivers which means dry conditions.
Temperatures will be in the mid-twenties and slightly warmer Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday with the minimums beginning to cool slightly.
Enjoy your Easter!
