As reported earlier this afternoon, there was a single-vehicle accident on Terania Street, North Lismore.

NSW Police has issued a statement that the man involved has died.

About 3pm (Thursday 18 May 2023), officers attached to Richmond Police District attended the intersection of Terania and Tweed Streets, North Lismore and found a 4WD had left the roadway and hit a tree.

The driver – and sole occupant - was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics, however, he died at the scene.

A crime scene has been established as police investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.

According to Live Traffic, Terania Street remains closed between Wilson and Tweed Streets.
