A Koonorigan man who produced a Queensland driver’s licence with a hospital address has been charged with traffic and licence offences by Richmond District Police.
Police from the Rural Crime Investigators will allege that on Saturday, November 16, they saw a 36 year old Koonorigan man driving a van along Snow Street in Lismore.
The man produced a Queensland driver’s licence.
Police investigations revealed that the Koonorigan man has never lived at the Queensland address (which was a hospital), and has been living at Koonorigan for some time.
A search of his vehicle revealed three Vehicle Identification Numbers (VIN's) on the dash of his vehicle.
None of the VIN's have ever been registered to the Koonorigan man's vehicles.
He was issued a Field Court Attendance Notice for Resident Not Obtain NSW Licence and Knowingly possess identity plate not on correct vehicle.
His vehicle was also issued a Red Label defect.
He will appear at Lismore Local Court in January.
