Detectives seize ute allegedly linked to assaults, robberies in Evans and Ballina

Following a public appeal for information, detectives have seized a vehicle as investigations continue into multiple alleged assaults and robberies at Evans Head and Ballina Police investigate multiple attacks in Evans Head and Ballina.



Strike Force Temoin was established by detectives from Richmond Police District to investigate the alleged assault and robbery of five men in Evans Head and Ballina in recent weeks.


It’s alleged the men were assaulted after arranging to meet a person they had communicated with online.


Detectives yesterday (Thursday 17 November 2022), issued CCTV of a white utility, as part of a state-wide appeal for assistance.



Acting on information provided, officers executed a search warrant about 1.20pm at a property on the Pacific Highway at Broadwater.


They seized a white utility at the scene; it has been taken for forensic examination. A toolbox was also seized and will also be examined.

Inquiries are continuing into the five separate alleged assaults and robberies in the Ballina and Evans Head areas between 31 October and 12 November 2022, which are believed to be linked.



Inquiries by Strike Force Temoin investigators continue.
