Minor and moderate flooding is nothing new to Lismore residents, so when Lismore Council workers closed the levee gates on the river this afternoon, it was just another flood event for those seasoned to it.

The rain has eased, the sun is out and the humidity is high - but with water still arriving in the catchment from areas north of Lismore, the river is tipped to peak later today.
