Just in case you were tempted to get in your car and drive into nature for the weekend, Lismore City Council has put a stop to it and closed a number of roads.
The decision was made after National Parks and Wildlife closed both Minyon Falls and Nightcap National Parks due to Covid-19 restrictions.
Barricades and signage have been erected on Minyon Falls Road, at the intersection with Coopers Creek Road.
Nightcap Range Road is also closed at the Middleton Way intersection.
Lismore City Council said regular checks will be performed on the road closures to ensure compliance.
“Anyone found to be flouting the closures will be reported to the Police,” a Council statement said.
Local residents can still access their properties, as can emergency vehicles if required.
