As the coronavirus pandemic picks up speed so is the case of scammers trying to get our hard earned cash.
In the last week my family has been targeted by these low life's. This is a warning for all of us to be alert and aware when we are at our most vulnerable.
On Saturday, I received this text message.
Being naturally sceptical about scammers I didn't push on the link but instead checked the website address in my browser. Low and behold it does not exist.
Scam!
Earlier last week, my wife got a call from a company informing us that our insurance company will not cover us during this pandemic and kindly offered to insure us to make sure we were covered. All we had to do was give them some information. I don't think so.
Scam!
This just serves as a warning to Lismore App readers to be extra careful. Don't let anyone induce fear into your world that leads you to give out personal information either on your mobile phone or landline or through a website link.
Simply ignore it and let's get on with ridding ourselves COVID-19.
