Coronavirus - Monday morning update

We start our week under new restrictions introduced by Prime Minister Scott Morrison last night;

  • Only two people can now gather in public spaces.
  • People aged 70 and over are urged to stay at home
  • Public playgrounds, outside gyms and skateparks are closed.
  • Group bootcamps are banned but one on one personal trainer sessions are allowed.

We also start our week in the knowledge that the NSW Health confirmed coronavirus cases jumped from 25 on Friday to 33 over the weekend.

What we can tell you now, thanks to NSW Health is that the Lismore area has 1-4 confirmed cases. The reason we know this is the NSW Health is now giving more detailed information on where confirmed cases are located.

Northern NSW Local Health District will provide more information about how the virus was acquired in the afternoon.

There has been no deaths in the Northern Rivers and no more deaths in NSW since last week, however there are 20 people in intensive care units.
